LeonaLeona Louise (born on April 3, 1986) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actress. Born in the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis was a star on the national stage in the"X Factor"'s third series in 2006. The singer also signed an PS1 Million recording contract from Syco Music. The winning single in the contest, which was a cover Kelly Clarkson's track "A Moment like This" had 50,000 downloads within 30 minutes , and reached number 1 for the duration of four weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a five-album contract in February of 2007. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit Her first studio album. The album was platinum 10x certified in the UK. This album became one of the top four albums sold in 2000, and it was also one of the best-selling UK albums. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the record-breaking debut album of the 21st century by a female musician. The lead track "Bleeding Love" and remained for seven weeks at the top of the UK charts, was also the single that was most popular in 2007. It was also the most-sold single in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award subsequent year. Echo was her sophomore studio album. Lewis also composed the hit song "I Love You" for Avatar. Lewis also came out with "Collide" in 2011, as a collaborative effort in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. Also, she released Hurt The EP in 2011, her debut extended play. Her third studio album, Glassheart (2012), was a departure in direction for Lewis who draws on dubstep and electronic music. She began to record material for her Christmas debut album during her Glassheart Tour, which took between mid 2013 and. Following that, Christmas with Love was released, and included her lead single "One more night" was ranked third across the UK. With this chart entry, Lewis became the first British woman soloist in the top five , with eight singles. She beat Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
