Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter (born on April 14, 1970) is an American actor best known for playing "Cordelia's" Chase in the smash teen TV show "Buffy the vampire Slayer. Carpenter was found on the streets of Los Angeles by a commercial agency as she waited at tables, swiftly transitioned from being a model to being a part of one of the most popular dramas of the late 90s. Following a period of time as "Cordelia," Carpenter made brief appearances in popular teen shows such as Miss Match, 'Charmed as well as 'Veronica Mars. The reality show she created in 'Investigation Discovery "Surviving Evil' (originally titled 'I Survived Evil'), shocked a lot of people. The show highlighted Carpenter sharing her terrible experience of being raped and assaulted by a serial assaulter when she was 21. Ava DuVernay, born August 24, 1972, in Long Beach California. DuVernay received support from her Aunt Denise when she was an infant. Aunt Denise, who worked night shifts as a nurse, allowed her to explore art and literature as well as the theater in the daylight. DuVernay instantly was captivated when she showed her the 1961 West Side Story film. DuVernay realized that art could be a powerful tool to promote activism. DuVernay was raised by a mother who was aware of her social circle and taught her to utilize the arts as a way of expressing herself.
