Jennifer Tilly was born on the streets of Los Angeles, California on September 16th 1958. The circumstances were extremely miserable. Her father worked as a salesman and her mother worked as a teacher. Jennifer is the youngest of a four-child family she was frequently at her mother's performance in the theater and extremely impressed. Jennifer's parents separated after she turned five. Jennifer was brought up within British Columbia by her mother and moved in with her four siblings. Jennifer was not a scholar however, as a child she was very artistic. When she was in Canada she was the victim of bullying frequently. Her interest in theater began to wane throughout her time in high school, and as a result she was a regular participant in theater by herself with the assistance of her mother. She encouraged all her children to become passionate about performing arts. After that, she immediately began acting.
